The 12th International Conference for Nubian Studies - The British Museum, London, Sunday 1 – Friday 6 August 2010
01 agosto 2010 - 06 agosto 2010

This quadrennial conference of the International Society for Nubian Studies draws together archaeologists, historians, anthropologists and scholars in related subjects from around the globe who specialise in the study of the rich cultural heritage of ancient Nubia and Sudan.
Following the tradition set by previous meetings, plenary sessions will be held in the morning and three parallel sessions addressing recent research, art and architecture, language, archaeology etc. in the afternoon. In light of the recent completion of the Merowe Dam Archaeological Salvage Campaign, the plenary morning sessions will be devoted to examining its results and placing them in context, thus providing a good opportunity to focus, reflect and to gain new perspectives upon the exciting discoveries made there.
