Tra il 14 e il 29 novembre 2011 si è svolta la la XI campagna di scavo della Missione Archeologica dell'Università di Pisa a Dra Abu el-Naga, nell'area delle tombe TT14 e MIDAN.05.
Vi hanno partecipato come membri permanenti della missione, sotto la direzione di Marilina Betrò, Gianluca Miniaci (Università di Pisa), Paolo Del Vesco (NINO, Leiden, Olanda), Federica Facchetti (ceramologa, Pisa) e il restauratore Gianluca Buonomini. Hanno inoltre preso parte alla campagna 2011: Anna Consonni (dottoranda, Pisa), Giorgia Cafici (dottoranda, Scuola Normale Superiore), Paolo Marini (laureato in Egittologia, Pisa), Emanuele Casini, Mattia Mancini e Vanessa Panzani (studenti, Pisa).
La campagna, benché più breve del previsto, ha portato interessanti risultati, tra cui la scoperta di nuove pitture parietali in MIDAN.05 e di un secondo pozzo funerario, ancora da indagare, nella corte della tomba, insieme ad altre strutture e numerosi reperti, tra cui due notevoli tavole d'offerta scolpite in pietra.

The 11th field season of the Archaeological Expedition at Dra Abu el-Naga, in the area of Theban Tomb 14 and the tomb MIDAN.05, has been carried out by the University of Pisa between November 14 and 29, 2011.
The team, under the direction of Marilina Betrò, was composed by Gianluca Miniaci (University of Pisa), Paolo Del Vesco (NINO, Leiden), Federica Facchetti (ceramologist, Pisa) and the restorer Gianluca Buonomini. Some students, graduates and PhD students also took part to this campaign: Anna Consonni (PhD student, Pisa), Giorgia Cafici (PhD student, Scuola Normale Superiore), Paolo Marini (Master in Egyptology, Pisa), Emanuele Casini, Mattia Mancini and Vanessa Panzani (students, Pisa).
The 2011 campaign, though short, brought many interesting results, among which the discovery of new wall paintings in MIDAN.05, a second, not yet investigated shaft pertaining to this last tomb, in the forecourt, together with other structures and finds, among which two remarkable carved offering tables in stone.
